With Halloween just one night away, we had to make sure this next horror short had something special to offer. So, what do you get when you combine a format that revolutionized the horror industry with one of the most infamous icons in the horror genre? A mix so good you just want to suck the blood out of it! This next great horror short is a winner of several festivals including the 48 Hour and Inland Empire Best Of City Film. This one grabbed our attention from the get-go so well, with phenomenal editing, acting and special FX, that we just had to add it to our list of scariest movies online. This one is a must watch for those of you who crave a good snack while indulging your eyes!

Could this be the new face of horror? Obscure actor Alex Llera, like many struggling actors out there has been on a list of student films including, Don’t Drink The Water, It’s Over, and the one featured here on ScariestMoviesOnline.com Bread Crumbs.
The 28 year-old has just recently done some extra work on the new Adam Shankman project, Rock Of Ages as well as worked on another new horror short about to be released called Mandragora.
With a new webseries in the works called Yet To Be Named, where he plays an over-obsessive horror fanatic actor, Alex Llera is looking to turn some heads to potentially be casted in a high-profiled horror project.
In an exclusive, we asked Alex, “…What would you do if you were crowned the new king of horror?…” I’d politely decline and leave the crown on Wes Craven’s head…. he said.

We’ve been out of it for a while but we’re making up for it with this next great find. This horror short really impressed us and after watching it there was no doubt about what horror film we were going to include in our next post. On top of being a great written script, with good acting and impeccable directing its got an extra unique flavor that sets it apart from the rest of the horror films we’ve listed so far….I don’t want to ruin it but from the title you can get a pretty good idea. Well, it took us a while to find this next gem of a horror short, but we found it. After a few days of searching online, we finally found a horror film worthy to be listed as one of the scariest movies online.
This one has the entire package great cinematography, lighting, story, and one hell of a job with the special effects! So, turn off the lights, check it out below and tell us what you think!
We’ve had zombies, ghosts and serial killers added to our list of scariest movies online. And now we’d like to introduce our very first vampire horror short to the list.
If we had to get the blood sucked out of us by a horror film, we would be more than proud for this next horror short to do the honors. It has a great story, great cinematography and best of all one of the best special fx we’ve seen in any horror short film.
We are not afraid to admit when a horror film that we watch makes us flinch….and this is one horror short that we can honestly say made us jump!
It uses mainly one continuous shot through out the entire film with a few interesting transitions. The lighting was set perfectly to produce that chilling atmosphere.

Here’s the first foreign horror addition to our list. The title is Arabic meaning falsehood. When we saw this horror short we couldn’t help ourselves but watch it over and over again….it was that good. Great acting……great directing and a very well written script. It also does a great job incorporating comedy without losing the horror feel to it.
This is a perfect example of how editing can take simple shots and create a work than can still evoke an emotional response.
The picture quality might not be all that great and you do have to read subtitles, but that still was not enough to leave this one off our list of one of the scariest movies online.
